ABOUT ME
Katie has over 20 years experience as a teacher and performer. She started as a clarinet player but was convinced by her high school music teacher to try the saxophone. After completing A-levels Katie studied music at Sheffield University and then went on to qualify as a secondary school music teacher. Throughout all her career Katie has always had a passion for performing and has worked with various ensembles from pit orchestras to salsa bands and everything inbetween!


LIVE PERFORMANCES
A Distinctive Sound
Katie can tailor every performance to suit your event. She can provide subtle background music to your drinks reception with jazz and pop covers. If you want to get the party going Katie has a large repertoire of classic party tunes spanning the decades from 60's soul to Ibiza classics. If you have specific requests let Katie know and she will arrange your tune whether it be for a first dance at a wedding or a piece of music that has meaning to the client.

RECORDING SESSIONS
Professional Sounds
As an experienced musician, Katie is able to offer clients a wide range of services, including professional Recording Sessions. As a proficient sight reader Katie can play from dots or is happy to collaborate to find the right sound.

TEACHING
A Musical Experience
Katie has worked in music education for over 20 years in many different settings including schools in New Zealand. Currently she teaches for the local music service and offers one to one tuition from her home studio. All woodwind instruments are offered as well as beginner piano lessons.
